Lavender Blue

Betsy Stephens has always wanted an ordinary life, but once more seems to be gifted with a heaping helping of extraordinary when she steps into the old kitchen in the backyard and finds herself facing a gray-clad confederate soldier in the midst of the war between the states. Struck by his appearance and yet repelled by the cause for which he fights, she learns that in earlier days this was the site of the cookshack belonging to the original dwelling and that she can step across the timeline to find herself over forty years in the past in those tragic years of war.
