Eleven-year-old boys aren’t supposed to go looking in haunted houses for lost baseballs or dead guys. Especially dead guys. And they’re definitely not supposed to go looking for an old, dusty chest covered with phoenixes, griffons, and gargoyles…a chest that ends up being a portal to the dark, creepy underworld. And yet, that’s exactly what Mickey did, and that’s exactly where he ended up. Now he’s got to save his little sister, Fidget, a fourth-grader who runs short on patience and long on ‘snark.’ They only stop running for their lives just long enough to laugh at poor Murray. Yeah, that guy needs to be slapped. Hard. Middle Grade (aged 8 - 12) Christian Children's Fiction Fantasy/Mystery
