Ales Plotka is an independent Belarusan artist from Ukraine (temporarily a war refugee in Europe). One of active translators of Ukrainian literature to Belarusan language and promoter of decolonial dialogue between two nations. Being an Ukrainian resident, who is a citizen of Belarus, which territory is used for aggression against Ukraine, Ales’ represents this dramatic self-ifentity situation in his literature. His poetry and translations give a precise and painful look at a complicated collective trauma and at controversial dialogue which happens between two nations who pass their decolonial way via different paths.
