MABEL The Story of One Midwife

When Mabel leaves her homeland in Ghana, Africa, and steps off the plane in Portland, Oregon, she has no idea how Americans will receive her. Despite rigorous training and 3000 deliveries Mabel is refused a job in the maternity ward at a hospital. Once the home birth network hears of her Mabel is supported and respected. This is Mabel's story and that of many couples she has helped.
