Christian Socialism: A New Vision Of Christ

In retrospect of the Supreme Court Decision to uphold "Obamacare", The Christian Left and the Message of Christianity has come under question. What is our obligation to our less unfortunate, was Jesus and the early church actually Socialist? Capitalism has been seen as the American Way for so long now, but is "Socialism" an actual philosophy that early Christians taught? How do we as Christians follow care for "the sick and poor" while dealing with a Left that supports moral issues, that are contrary to biblical values?
