This is the story of Tatiana Mtanovh, beautiful and innocent girl, age 17, swimming in Leningrad during World War II, during the siege of the city. Tatiana lives in the same room with her sister, Dasha, and her twin brother Pasha. Also live in cramped apartment Tatiana's parents and grandparents. The radio announce the beginning of the blockade near the city. The family starts to prepare for the siege, and sends the Tatiana buy the food needed for lasting that long. Tatiana's twin brother, Pasha, was sent to a military camp for the summer white. An accidental meeting, Tatiana meets Alexander, a handsome officer in the Red Army keeps many secrets in his heart. They are the home of Tatiana along with food products, and Tatiana reveals that Alexander was actually Dasha's boyfriend, her older sister. The war begins, and Tatiana and Alexander are drawn to each other a passion and impossible, to accompany them throughout the war. Against the bombing, starvation, arguments and tension prevailing in the house, Tatiana finds herself in love for the first time in her life, she knows her heart will belong forever to Alexander, even if they could not fulfill their love. Alexander urges Tatiana get the Pasha from the camp, that he thought he Germans bomb the camp in a few days, and a daring procedure Tatiana going to the battlefield to find long-lost brother. Pasha was nowhere and attacks begin. During the bombing she enters the house, landing in a bomb and she buried her under the rubble. When he found out where she went, Alexander travels to find her. He takes her from the wreckage and handles broken leg. They confess their love for each other and kissing. They know when to return to Leningrad everything will be the same
