Other Times

The middle play of Ray Lawler's "Doll Trilogy" (although written last), "Other Times" is set during the final days of WWII, when Roo and Barney return home from the army to their women. The years are changing them, from the bright young things of "Kid Stakes" to the increasingly lonely pairs we'll meet in "Summer of the Seventeenth Doll". Commissioned by Melbourne Theatre Company in 1976, "Other Times" was performed as part of the complete "Doll Trilogy" in 1977.
