Robert McReynolds Robert McReynolds (? -1928) was an American pioneer, soldier, journalist and author. He arrived in the Black Hills in the 1870's and explored Mexico and Cuba. His works include: He Willed it So; or, The Story of Rodney Wilkes (1901), The Luxury of Poverty (1906), Thirty Years on the Frontier (1906) and Where Strongest Tide Winds Blew (1907).
