Hawaiian Treasure

The minute Tom and his family stepped off the plane, he knew what people meant when they said Hawaii was "The Crossroads of the Pacific." It wasn't only that the palm trees, clear blue waters, and gentle breezes were different; it was the people themselves — dark-skinned, with oriental features, and open smiling faces. They made Tom feel happy and welcome. Then he made friends with Kimo and Obie, and things really began to happen! Tom went spear fishing, explored for hidden treasure inside a lava cave, and witnessed the savage eruption of a volcano. He joined Boy Scout Troop #22, and went on his first wild-pig hunt along the dangerous Kohala Ditch Trail!
