The Maestro Murders

Michael Forrester, young and impetuous, had a guile that had seen him through many scrapes with a whole skin, for his wits always seemed the sharpest when confronted with danger. His startling encounter with charming Tuck Torrie seemed remote from his unusual appointment to assist the police in the solution of a series of amazingly audacious crimes that were causing the hitherto successful Commissioner Davies and his staff to lose much sleep. The event, however, had a particular significance to the exciting battle that followed with the "king spider," master mind, who possessed and alarming knowledge of every weakness in the net that was spread to catch him by his many adversaries. With a rapidity of changing scene and unusual characterization that makes the reader a party to the thrilling series of happenings that are a part of the chase, the story spins through the cruel murder of Professor Seeley, and the again successful operations of the "king spider" until finally the cool perpetrator of the several crimes stands revealed.
