Stefan Bourque Short Story – Approx. 5,172 Words – Fiction/Horror/Suspense
A dark, twisted fairytale.
Written in an almost sing-song prose, “Drain” tells the story of Michael and Mindy, two teenagers forced to live in foster care after the death of their parents. Foster Father Fred and Foster Mother Carrie are cruel people and the children believe that all hope is lost until their long-lost Uncle Dabney comes to the rescue.
But in Uncle Dabney’s house there are strange noises coming from the old pipes. There is something watching from the drains. There is something all too familiar that has come back into their lives and this time ... there is nowhere left to run!
