Promise of the Rose Stone

Her way of life in the mountains is being destroyed. Her role as warrior is outlawed. Isa journeys to the Federation intent on confronting the policies which undermine the traditions of her people. But the Federation will not tolerate diversity. Despite efforts by some citizens to help her, she is banished to the satellite Olyeve. There she encounters silver filamented communicators, lavender winged flyers, walls oozing life-sustaining liquids, Agents' apprentices, and the consciousness of Olyeve herself. Can Isa escape this living prison? Will she return home with only the help of her lover Cleothe and the protection of the rose stone?
