A novel based on the life of Mendelssohn-- his romances, love of music, and respect for predecessor Johann Sebastian Bach. Other famous characters in the book include Chopin and George Sand. The author, Pierre LaMure, also wrote the book, Moulin Rouge, the basis of the classic 1952 movie.
