A long time ago, at the end of every day, King David's guards used to gather as brothers in good cheer, to talk and dine with simple dinner around the fire. Simon, who finished his food before dinner time, was ashamed that he sat with empty hands, so he asked his friend, Nathan, to borrow him one boiled egg, an egg that he committed to give him back in the future. One borrowed egg caused the friends to disagree, which led them to the court. On their way to find justice, they discovered something equally important, the value of good friendship. This tale is apart from a series of moral stories inspired by King Solomon's wisdom. The story "The story of the borrowed egg" by Hayim Nahman Bialik was renewed, processed & illustrated by the artist Iris Gat.
