Girl on the Beach

It was summer of 1964 and Sheila was enjoying the last day of her holiday in Blackpool. As she lined up to buy an ice cream, her day suddenly changed. The sky turned black she was surrounded by chaos. Flames burned on the water. People were running along the beach, shouting in frightened urgent voices and in a language Sheila could not understand. Was this a nightmare?
