The Little American Girl

One minute college sophomore, Sarah Ann "Sandy" Reid, is playing field hockey and the next she is invited to go to France as household help to the Director of the Quaker International Centre in Paris and his family. Encouraged by her family to take this opportunity to work and live in 1930s France, she plans to "learn French, meet people, and grow up."
