Doctor Percy Trevelyan brings Holmes an unusual problem. Having been a brilliant student but a poor man, Dr. Trevelyan has found himself a participant in an unusual business arrangement. A man named Blessington, claiming to have some money to invest, has set Dr. Trevelyan up in medical premises with a prestigious address. All expenses paid. Yet Blessington seems to be terrified of something. The doctor can't explain what's happening and asks for the help of Sherlock Holmes. Librarian's note: this is one of many short stories featuring Sherlock Holmes. It first appeared in "The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes" first published in 1894.
