Hot Tea!

Hot Tea! is a collection of poems that can warm the withered hands of the human soul when the cold winds blow. The poems in this are quite eclectic, embracing topics that range from modern politics and the historical forces that shape our world (The Age of Kings is Over) through the absurd and amusing (Driving to Byzantium, Zen Wulf) to the philsophical and sublime (Planting Season, An Open Letter to Humankind, Hot Tea!). There are short poems - Zen Koans in a nearly traditional form - and longer poems that often also pose an interesting Zen question or seek to convey some useful philosophical insight. There are even some short essays intended to convey the thoughts of the poet outside of the strict frame of the poems they are associated with. Tea has often been praised by the thinkers of the ages as the perfect, healthful beverage. Hot Tea! is offered up as a perfect accompaniment to a cup of - hot tea!
