Phil Collins U. K. artist Phil Collins often communicates through forms of popular and youth culture such as dance, pop music, and recently, a functioning karaoke machine. The humor and energy in his work creates an immediate connection with viewers while often dispelling our compulsion to stereotype. This new catalogue accompanies Collinss most comprehensive solo exhibition to date (at Milton Keynes Gallery) and features the remarkable video installation they shoot horses (2004) and free fotolab (2005). The monograph features writings by Claire Bishop and Francesco Manacorda, Kate Bush, filmmaker Todd Haynes, and Wexner Center Director of Media Arts Bill Horrigan. Collin is a Wexner Center Residency Award recipient in media arts for 2005-06. His installation they shoot horses was exhibited by the Wexner Center in spring 2005.
