The Morgos Incident

Doctor Elizabeth Thorne is a Botanist and researcher, working for the Federation Alliance on Earth. She is an empath, who feels the emotions of others and can share her feelings with others as well. She accidentally meets Captain Paolo Bianchi of the Starship Draco, who is on his way to bring one of her cures to Planet Vinda. She and the Captain feel an increasing attraction to each other from the first moment they meet. Her boss, the Admiral, sends her along for the mission, and she is swept up into an increasingly dangerous political situation. The Galactic Federation Alliance is in a conflict with a brutal race of aliens who are bent on conquering as many Human worlds as they can. Someone has created a deadly toxin that has destroyed the ecosystem of an entire Colonized world, and it is Elizabeth's job to identify the toxin, and kill it while her Captain and his Crew battle the aliens who are trying to take over the Federation Alliance. The connection between these events is closer than anyone could have expected, and the Botanist and the Captain must try to resolve the conflicts before the Federation is destroyed. Told from Elizabeth’s point of view, this is a new take on a science fiction adventure story.
