The Broken: A novel

Abused and left feeling angry and alone, fourteen-year-old Jack Thompson’s life is one of emotional turmoil and pain. Diagnosed with PTSD and burdened with a borderline personality disorder, he tries to make sense of his life with the added strain of mental illness. Jack finds closeness and comfort in the relationship with his best friend and his mother. During a camping trip, Mike and Jack find themselves lost and meet up with two sisters, Toni and Beverly. Jack and Toni start an intense romance. Love is supposed to heal all; however, Jack’s inner turmoil threatens to lead them both to heartbreak.
