Boris, a natural-born werewolf, is coming back to his hometown to kill the man who murdered his mother and left him an orphaned child. Rowan is trying to live a quiet life while regularly visiting her grandmother who lives in the middle of the forest. A stranger comes to town and takes an irksome liking to the magical red cloak that Rowan's grandmother has promised her and tries to convince Rowan to give it to him. As if that isn't enough, he also tries to convince the town that the wolf who chased him along the path must be hunted down. But Boris has already taken a liking to the little vixen, as he thinks of the red-headed girl, and Rowan has decided that she doesn't mind the wolf very much at all. Can love overcome the lies and treachery of the stranger? Set in the same world as the Tower Steps and Goldisocks, these books can be read in any order. As with all of the novellas in the Fairytale Hour series, this retelling of Little Red Riding Hood is a stand-alone with a guaranteed happy ending that can be read in about an hour.
