1998 Florida. Pretty widow Kate Cameron had one hero, cop Joe, who left her with cute girl Casey 6. Foster mum "aunt" Evie suggests "open her heart to all the possibilities ". Kate doesn't believe Morgan Farrell is "Black Heart", a pirate captain from 1702, despite his jewels, weapons, and outfit. Danger may have followed him from the past, but he will not leave while Kate needs him.
