WATCHING THE WORLD GO BY

“For me, there is no greater joy than letting my mind soar, delving down into the pool of my memories - like a Kingfisher - to scoop up some tasty morsel in time when I got it right…” Poros, Sopron, Budapest, Prague, Warsaw, Torun, Amsterdam, Oviedo, Kos, Sion, Milan, Giverny, Paris… “I know such times will happen again. It is just that sometimes it seems a long wait between these moments.” These words were written decades ago when I was locked down in a different way. I began working on a shot in the arm for those in a similar place, who might benefit from a fix of far-off climes, a shaft of sunlight to lift them – and need to hear that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
