One hungover morning in a Walmart parking lot in a little town near Georgian Bay, Joan is drawn to a revival tent where the local Métis have been flocking to hear a charismatic preacher. When she gets there, the service is over, but as she leaves, she hears an unmistakable voice: her husband, Victor, who's been missing for over a year. But the man insists he's not Victor, he's the Reverend Eugene Wolff, on a mission to bring his people to Jesus. And as she confronts him, there's no flicker of recognition in his eyes.
