Managing Mary

When Mary Raynsford's lifelong friend, Ellis Harrington, returns from Tour and says he aims to marry within six months, Mary hatches a plan to thwart his efforts. It simply wouldn't do for him to find a bride. Especially if it's not her. Then Mary's plan goes awry and it inadvertently launches them into a series of mishaps.
