When twenty-eight-year-old Nicholas West reflects details of his family’s history along the shore of Lake Samoy in New York, he comprehends the mysteries of death for the very first time. A middle-aged man named Isaac experiences an infatuation for a lifelong friend and discovers that his world becomes over-filled with sunflowers and a risqué transition, once retiring from his career. Nebraska Close, a professional photographer who is drawn to summer nights and a younger man’s skin, finds pleasure for a second time in his life.
