This is a contemporary story about a family living in Dublin, Ireland. They have been torn apart by events which happened years before when they lived in Waterford. Father, Feargal is a retired Lighthouse Keeper. Daughter, Zoe, lives with her partner and is planning her wedding. Gail has just come home from London. But the future is bleak for son, Matt, who has just been released from prison after being convicted of murder. He faces life in a changing world and rehabilitation begins in a homeless shelter. Gail and Zoe anticipate his return with trepidation and are worried that their father will react badly to seeing Matt again. When Matt calls to see them on Christmas Eve, this visit precipitates a series of events which change their lives. A letter is found. A secret is revealed. An unexpected meeting draws Matt to a lighthouse and brings him to the limit of his endurance. Will it take another death to right the wrongs of the past?
