Beyond bonding: A Third World women's theological journey

In this study, Virginia Fabella traces with characteristic thoroughness the theological journey of African, Asian and Latin American women within the Ecumenical Association of Third World Theologians (EATWOT). This valuable piece of historical documentation reveals a progressive growth in the corporate theological consciousness of EATWOT from a general acceptance of the association's theological direction and methodology to a gradual awareness of the male bias and limited analysis in the emerging theologies of EATWOT members; from a limted male-defined liberation viewpoint to a more inclusive women's liberation perspective. Indeed Third World women theologians have something unique to offer - " They have different word to say than their Third World brothers and First World sisters."
