Ann Aurelia and Dorothy

Fifth grade Ann Aurelia lives in a foster home and discovers a new, interesting life...what will she do when her mother returns for her? This is the story of her friendship with Dorothy, an African American girl. It is Dorothy's help and loyalty which enables Ann Aurelia to make a very difficult decision when her mother returns and wants her back.
