After a dangerous experience as a war reporter, wealthy Richard King wants to escape to the Catskill Mountains and hammer away at his novel—alone. When someone suggests that he team up with a beautiful young editor, Mary Miller, Richard rejects the idea, not wanting to get close to another woman again.
