King of Thieves

The Anglo-Scottish border was a virtual warzone for around 400 years, with its own set of March Laws; it bred a people that were tough, resilient and loyal to no flag but their own. KING OF THIEVES is a collection of Border Reiver poetry by the Northumbrian writer Jon Tait, himself a descendent of a number of border tribes. It is a book set in place and landscape, in traditions and folk tales, legend and lore.
