Culture Shock: Memoirs of a Clueless College Student in New York

When a young Jamaican moves to New York at the age of nineteen, she gets a rude awakening when the learns that America is not quite as wonderful as she'e heard it was. She thought learning American culture would be her biggest challenge, but the trappings of her Jamaican culture turn out to be just as challenging. And then, after four years, she returns to Jamaica and finds that she has to learn her Jamaican culture all over again!
