Verity Adler is teetering on the edge of collapse. One false move and everything will come crashing down around her and the ones she loves. With a new investigation agency, two small boys to care for, and a household to run, her Almanac is overflowing. To make matters worse, Peter is away investigating his final case for the Mysterium and who knows when he'll be back. So when the family's Cottontail goes missing and her toddler, Grayson, blames an "imaginary friend", an overwrought Verity reaches breaking point.
