A group of strangers in an Irish seaside town meet at an evening class to learn the Irish language. It is a time of tense political situations, full of changes, and they become increasingly puzzled and suspicious of each other. At the same time, love affairs affect their views. But the presence of Breton separatists adds even more complications. The main character is often deceived, although a detailed record is needed by sponsors.
