The Adventures and Vagaries of Twm Shon Catti; Descriptive of Life in Wales: Enterspersed With Poems

Thomas Jeffrey Llewelyn Prichard (1790-1862) may be described as the author of the first Welsh novel to have been written in English. The Adventures and Vagaries of Twm Shon Catti, the first edition of which appeared in 1828. Revised and enlarged editions came out in 1839 and 1873. The adventures of Twm Shon Catti are said to have been based on incidents in the life of Thomas Jones of Tregaron (c. 1530-1609).
