Grim Hosford saw a lot of people come through the doors of his bookstore. There were the ordinary book buyers, of course—students, professors, homemakers, collectors—but there were also people involved in strange cults, office clerks who had learned how to rig the system, men and women getting their first taste of love, the homeless, the deformed, the criminal, aliens from another galaxy, the dead.
