Elizabeth (Lizzy) Bennet is under pressure to get married to Mr. Collins. He is a man that has just inherited the Longbourn Estate and deemed to be an eligible bachelor. He comes home to ask for her hand in marriage and she overhears him. Lizzy, however feels that she can only get married to a man that she has a connection with, someone that she is in love with. Her mother wants her to get married to Mr. Collins because he is wealthy, while her father tells her to follow her heart. After Mrs. Bennet tries to convince her to get married, Elizabeth dashes out of the house and bumps into Darcy, a man that she’s had a crush on since they were young. He consoles her and they end up experiencing something that neither of them had expected. Some would call it improper. Back at the house, she is encouraged to go out on a date with Mr. Collins, which she does. Darcy appears at the restaurant and proposes to Lizzy in the washroom. They ran away to get married. Worried that Lizzy did not get home, Mr. Bennet goes to Mr. Collins estate only to find out that Mr. Collins is not what everyone thinks he is.
