Dorothy Dale's Engagement

Dorothy Dale and her friend Tavia are headed into New York City for the season's dress shopping when they encounter a gentlemanly Western man. As never before, Dorothy is taken with his charm and upstanding nature; they overcome concerns about finances and so forth and finally are able to be engaged--as are most of the young adult characters who grew up across the span of this series.
