"Farewell to Vivian is the first collection of 18 short novels published by Qinshan. The most famous two essays are Farewell to Vivian and July and Anson. She is changing continuously in the process of writing Farewell to Vivian, to Lotus and finally to Spring Banquet, reflecting her fearlessness out of innocence, decadence in language, casual indulgence, determined persistence and finally lofty stance after a long tough journey. These works reflect her mental changing course, struggling and practice in actual details and trivia. Her fiction always unfolds around the four themes of desire, death, meditation and exploration.
