How does someone so upstanding behave so embarrassingly stupid?  Antiquarian bookstore owner Julie Ann Goodell cannot believe she has just slipped a hand-written note confessing a mounting obsession in university professor Holt Keller's briefcase.  Later, the note practically catches fire in Holt's hands.  It's anonymous, but that doesn't stop Holt from deducing its authorship.
