The Invitation

A short story based around the characters and events of 'The Duellist' series. It has been eight years since the siege of Hannac. Far from the imperial city, life seems peaceful, harmonious and uncomplicated. All of that, however, is about to change when an invitation arrives for the Emperor's birthday party.
