John Craven The story of 'Way of the World' is a SF/Eco tale of one man and his daughter's experiences when they and the rest of humanity are infected by an unknown super virus that becomes active after 48hrs. There is no cure and they will probably die. After 48hrs everybody prepares to die. At first only the UK and a couple of small Islands are affected but the virus is airborne and will eventually affect all humanity. Where did the virus originate and who is the unknown source that informs them that they are affected by a virus and that there is no cure for it.
The story follows Jonas Craig, a lecturer of Psychology and Sociology, at Cambridge and his daughter, Alice, a research worker in Biochemistry.
There is no antidote for the virus so how do some people survive. A few are immune but how do the others survive?
Meanwhile, the Eco system is being drastically altered. Can this be related to the virus in any way? Can the human race survive?
