From Sin to Salvation: The Ascent of the Soul takes the reader on a quest to ask how a person can escape sin. The first part of the book is dedicated to defining moral reality and what words such as sin, evil, and salvation actually mean. The concepts of evil, Hell, and Satan, as they are portrayed in religious and contemporary literature are examined, as well as the Bahai concept of the insistent selfthe ego. This book explores whether we can protect ourselves from sin and whether everyday behavior seen in the newssuch as bullying, nonfeasance, and apathyare sins, as well as the role of technology and viral videos can perpetuate the illusion that harmful behaviors are normal. An analysis of other concepts found in various world religions, such as atonement, penance, and an exploration as to whether practices commonly found in religion, such as the fear of God, it is possible to overcome the temptation of evil, to live free from guilt, and for the soul to ascend into a higher spiritual state, or salvation.
