Elo, boy scientist, artist of prophetic dreams, processor of the sixth sense, forced hitch hiker, is jettisoned in space and lands in the sea on the nearest planet. Rescued by Rick, a green sea breathing Human Merboy, he learns a strange fact: Merboys cannot dream, and Elo, in the water, is slowly evolving the same way as Rick. How did a human become a Merboy, and can he return to his former state?
