Christmas is maybe the holiday season with the most memories attached to it for many people. The folks in Sweetland are no exception. Memories seep through the sands of time and color their lives with reflections of past scenes, both beautiful and blue. The stories will fit into your heart like comfortable slippers on a cool day. Anne Baxter Campbell’s happiest and sometimes saddest memories are those holidays celebrated with her family and friends. Her beloved dad died on Christmas Day, but she is certain her father waited on purpose until after his grandchildren would have opened their gifts and celebrated the joys of Christmas morning. She’s equally certain he’d be disappointed in family members who allowed the sadness to overwhelm the delights of the holiday. The Lord has so much to give us at Christmastime.
