"Come to Highcliff" said the voice on the telephone. "Come as soon as possible! I need you! I'll be waiting!" The last thing Julie Forsythe wanted was to return to Highcliff..the evil, haunted mansion where wild, weird music filled the air, mysterious fires burned, and monstrous white figures lurked in the night-black corridors. Nothing would ever erase the fearful memory of that childhood summer at Highcliff, which had ended with Melinda's disappearance...and had Julie accused of her playmate's murder. But now she had reason to believe that Melinda was still alive. She would go back to the old house for just one night, she thought, to find out the truth.
