Captain Michael Turner and his crew are aboard the space station Verano, when something crashes into it. Upon investigation, they discover curiously grotesque shelled creatures running rampant and encasing the crew in a cocoon-like webbing. As the station's power begins to fade, the crew find themselves having strange euphoric visions, like collective dreams. Upon waking, the bliss fades when tension and paranoia grip the crew. As violence and bloodshed ensue, the true meaning of the cocoon reveals itself, perhaps a little too late.
