In 1955, 20 years after becoming one of the preeminent manufacturers of kitchen appliances in the country, Thermador invented the first built-in wall oven and forever changed the concept of the American kitchen. To celebrate, we held a contest, asking cooking enthusiasts from around the country to submit recipes that best represented their state. Each recipe was personally judged by award-winning Chef Bradley Ogden for flavor and originality before being included in this book. 50 recipes were selected—one representing each state—which we think epitomize the best cuisine this country has to offer.
