My Story: The Latter Rain

Frank Bartleman was one of the pioneers of the Pentecostal movement. A witness and a member of the Azusa Street outpouring. He filled the roles of preacher, writer, and evangelist. My The Latter Rain is one of his first books detailing the events of his life leading up to the great earthquake in California that he believed helped fuel the flames of revival in that part of the country. He gives evidence of being a true seeker of God, never satisfied with the limitations that men put on God’s working power. He says, “Seek God according to the understanding He gives you of Himself. Seek His will for you. If all were honestly seeking God the question would be solved, the difficulty removed.” Through the stories he gives of loss, disaster, and persecution, Frank Bartleman continued to be a seeker of truth.
